Having fun with Ariel! In this assignment we were tasked with creating a typographic poster in black and white with one accent color. We were able to choose a word and a black or white background and then had to arrange additional text within the open spaces of the letters. We were allowed to use place holder text but since I was already having so much fun I decided to have even more fun and write the copy for the poster on theme.
This project began as an assignment to use Photoshops effects to modify text. I was inspired by the design of the opening title for Marvel's Loki and decided to give each letter different styles that would both contrast and complement each other. No AI was used in the production of this image.
This is the result of an assignment to create a type sample/advertisement. I chose Bodoni because I like the high contrast between thick and thin strokes and enjoyed playing with negative space while working through this assignment.
